VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS
VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS
The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) is one of the oldest organizations for veterans. Tracing its roots back to 1899 after the Spanish-American war, the VFW strives to promote patriotism and honor military service. There are three membership types; annual, life and legacy life. The cost of membership can be as low as $35 per year and members can enjoy a variety of services that will be beneficial for their families as well as themselves.
In partnership with the VFW, the VFW Foundation connects veterans with meaningful programs to enrich their lives, such as MyInchofTheEarth.com, which allows donors to claim an inch of the earth and support veterans for only $12. The donations benefit the VFW Foundation so it can continue to offer programs and develop services geared toward veterans, military service personnel and the ones they love.
VFW Foundation also fills in governmental gaps in assistance for troops abroad, military families in the U.S. and veterans.
