Loans For Military Veterans
SBA Express Loan Program
The Express Loan Program provides loans of up to $350,000 on an expedited basis for veterans. This program runs through September of 2014, and features zero upfront fees and a 36 hour turnaround time for loan applications. In addition to veteran-specific loan programs, the SBA offers many other types of loans for all small business owners.
Federal Grants
The federal government also offers grants for veterans who qualify. All types of grants can be researched at www.grants.gov, which is the best resource for all grants currently available. Additionally, many other organizations such as the Department of Labor offer grants specifically for organizations and businesses that work with veterans.
Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative (VetFran)
The Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative (VetFran) offers monetary incentives to veterans who are interested in buying a franchise. The program consists of a coalition of member companies who offer veterans advantageous terms. Participating franchise organizations are listed at VetFran Directory.
