VetSuccess
Veterans returning from service may need access to career and employment services. The Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) VetSuccess program is another resource from the VA for servicemen and women in need of vocational rehabilitation and employment services who qualify under the GI Bill.
What are the Features of VetSuccess?
VetSuccess helps veterans by providing assistance in a number of areas, including:
- Resumes
- Cover letters
- Career research
- Vocational training
- Job applications
- Employer incentives to hire veterans
The VA takes its commitment to veterans very seriously. The agency actively promotes the reintegration of veterans into the civilian workforce after service. Training, job placement and education placement are available through the VetSuccess program, as well as counseling and other services necessary to find—and keep—suitable jobs.
There are many useful VetSuccess aids, such as the VETS Military Skills Translator (Translator). The Translator allows veterans to transform their military knowledge, skills and experience for the civilian job market. By learning how to leverage their military capabilities, veterans who use VetSuccess’ translation program learn about civilian jobs and careers for which they are uniquely qualified.
Job Search Tools
Veterans can utilize VetSuccess’ on-the-job training, apprenticeships and other volunteer work opportunities; financial assistance for post-secondary education; case management, counseling and other referral services; and living aids for those struggling with a severe disability.
