Rally Backs Turning Shuttered Hospital into VA Facility

MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) – A city councilor wants a shuttered hospital in Smyrna to become a medical facility run by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Smyrna City Councilman Wade Lnenicka planned a rally Saturday outside the old Emory-Adventist Hospital to convince VA officials to establish a new medical facility there.

Lnenicka told The Marietta Daily Journal (https://bit.ly/14GQpFn ) the site makes sense because it is a fully-functioning medical facility with easy access.
