Event to Help Milwaukee-area Veterans Learn About Benefits
A one-day event to help aging veterans and their spouses learn of benefits available to them will be held Monday at the Milwaukee County War Memorial Center, 750 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive. The Department of Veterans Affairs estimates that only 13% of eligible veterans age 65 or older receive benefits to which they are entitled. The event is designed to connect veterans and their surviving spouses with veterans’ representatives.

Visitors will be able to meet with veterans’ benefits representatives for one-on-one consultations, sign up for benefits and ask questions. Preregistration is required for the free event by calling (414) 289-6640 or emailing names of the people attending the event to [email protected]
