County Veterans Affairs Office Honored by Marine Corps League Detachment

The Northeastern Detachment Marine Corps League honored Lackawanna Countys Veterans Affairs Director Robert Tuffy and his staff for their efforts in securing benefits and providing a multitude of services for the 28,000 veterans in our community. In 2013-2014, the County office secured $3,836,656 in benefits to assist local veterans and their families. The office also provides information on housing, self-help programs and medical treatment and schedules in home or assisted living visits to accommodate veterans and their families.
