Tomah VA to Host Town Hall Meeting
The Tomah VA Medical Center will host a town hall meeting for veterans, Thursday, Dec. 11. The town hall meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in the hospital chapel and is expected to last about 90 minutes.
The meeting will provide an opportunity for veterans, their families and others with a stake in veterans health care to make comments and have their questions answered by hospital executives and staff.
The medical center director will also provide a brief update on the medical center and provide information regarding the Veterans Choice Act.
The town hall meeting is also open to the press and public, so veterans with issues they wish to remain confidential may submit written questions anonymously on provided cards or talk to VA staff members outside the public event.
Medical center leadership and other key clinical and administrative staff will be there to work one-on-one with any veterans with issues they wish to have addressed on the spot.
Similar town hall meetings are being held at VA facilities across the country quarterly at the direction of the Secretary of Veterans Affairs.
