WHITE RIVER JUNCTION The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in White River Junction is hosting an open house and information fair where veterans will be able to ask about benefits and get help applying for those benefits.

The event is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday.

People who served in the armed forces and received an honorable discharge may qualify for VA health care benefits. Veterans and their family members will also be able to visit information tables to learn more about VA compensation benefits and health care services.

Veterans interested in applying for VA health care should bring a copy of their discharge paperwork, a photo ID and financial information from the previous calendar year.
