World War II, Korean War, And Vietnam Vet Celebrates 90th Birthday
STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) –
WTOC would like to send a huge birthday wish to Mr. Mathew Suddath Sr.
He is a Statesboro Native who celebrated 90 years of life Saturday.
Mr. Suddath is a proud Military Veteran of World War II, who served in the Korean War and Vietnam War.
The celebrations took place in Richmond Hill at a military themed party with family and friends.
Soldiers from Hunter Army Airfield were also invited to help make his day even more special.
“I was very excited about it and I was proud of it,” says Mr. Suddath Sr. “They did a good job, an outstanding job.” “The soldiers looked great and they represented themselves very well, I enjoyed it.”
The soldiers also presented Mr. Suddath with an appreciation certificate, a fifty year pin, an Army T-shirt and a few other goodies as a gift for his birthday and service to the US Military.
