Lebanon VA Medical Center Seeks Feedback from Veterans

Officials with the Lebanon VA Medical Center want feedback.

They gathered with veterans from Berks County for a town hall-style meeting at the Ag Center in Bern Township.

The new secretary of Veterans Affairs asked all VA medical centers to gather feedback amid complaints of long wait times in other parts of the country.

“Many of the stories we hear are very positive,” said Douglas Etter, public affairs officer, Lebanon VA Medical Center. “Folks tell us how much they appreciate their doctors, the nursing staff, the food service, staff the cleaning staff, all those folks, but there are folks who say you can do this better, and when we hear that, we act on it.”

Officials said only 30 percent of veterans eligible for care at the Lebanon VA actually go their for treatment.
